Art Model Collective tributes to iconic artists have become one of the strengths of the project, due to our joint love and appreciation of art history.
Since the very beginning of AMC, we’ve researched and painstakingly designed dozens of life drawing events, celebrating our favourite artists: Frida Kahlo, Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt, Alphonse Mucha, Auguste Rodin, Peter Paul Rubens, Amedeo Modigliani, Tamara de Lempicka, Paula Rego and Euan Uglow, among others.
The dedication of our passionate models to perfect the tributes does not stop with exhibition visits and meticulous research of paintings on which we base our poses. Our quest for authenticity of costumes has taken us to collaborations with vintage fashion collectors. We rouge our knees and pull our stockings, we trim our wigs and plaster on makeup, to transform to different decades, to represent the muses of specific era. We spend days making props and sewing costumes to perfect the tribute of just one fleeting pose…
